Air Fryer Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread

Air Fryer Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread

Air Fryer Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread is soft, moist, and packed with juicy blueberries and rich swirls of sweet cream cheese. This bakery-style quick bread is the perfect balance of tangy, sweet, and creamy, making it ideal for breakfast, brunch, dessert, or an afternoon snack. The air fryer creates a beautifully golden crust while keeping the inside tender, fluffy, and full of flavor.

What makes this bread so special is the combination of fresh or frozen blueberries with a rich cream cheese layer that melts slightly into the batter as it bakes. Every slice delivers bursts of juicy fruit paired with creamy pockets of sweetness. A touch of vanilla and lemon zest enhances the flavor and brings brightness to the bread, making it taste fresh and homemade. It’s simple to prepare but tastes like something from a bakery.

The air fryer method makes this recipe faster than traditional oven baking while still achieving excellent texture. The circulating heat ensures even baking, a golden top, and a soft interior. It’s also perfect for smaller batches, so you don’t need to heat up your entire kitchen. Once cooled, the loaf slices beautifully and can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.

This blueberry cream cheese bread is perfect for sharing with family, serving at brunch gatherings, or enjoying throughout the week. It pairs wonderfully with coffee, tea, or a glass of milk. Whether you enjoy it plain, toasted with butter, or drizzled with glaze, every bite is rich, fruity, and comforting.

Ingredients

For the Bread

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for coating blueberries)

For the Cream Cheese Swirl

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

Grease and line a small loaf pan that fits inside your air fryer basket with parchment paper.

Step 2: Prepare the Blueberries

Toss blueberries with 1 tablespoon flour to prevent sinking during baking. Set aside.

Step 3: Make the Cream Cheese Mixture

In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Step 4: Make the Bread Batter

In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract, lemon zest, and milk.

In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Gently fold in the blueberries.

Step 5: Assemble the Bread

Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon cream cheese mixture over the batter and gently swirl with a knife. Add remaining batter on top and smooth the surface.

Step 6: Air Fry

Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3 minutes.

Place loaf pan into the air fryer basket and cook for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.

If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil during the last 10–15 minutes.

Step 7: Cool and Serve

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then remove and cool completely before slicing for best texture.
