Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 red bell pepper diced
1 green bell pepper diced
1 small onion diced
3 cups cooked white or brown rice
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
2 green onions sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
Add diced bell peppers and onion. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened.
Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic powder, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add cooked rice to the skillet and mix thoroughly.
Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Use day-old rice for the best texture.
Adjust spice levels with red pepper flakes or sriracha.
