Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce

A comforting pasta dish with juicy garlic butter chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce, and tender linguine—made with an air fryer twist.

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika

For the Linguine

  • 12 oz (340 g) linguine pasta
  • Salt for boiling water

For the Creamy Garlic Alfredo Sauce

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Linguine

  1. Boil linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Toss chicken pieces with:
    • Olive oil
    • Salt and pepper
    • Italian seasoning
    • Garlic powder
    • Paprika
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F) for 3 minutes.
  3. Place chicken pieces in the basket in a single layer.

Air Fry:

  • 200°C (390°F) for 10–12 minutes
  • Shake halfway through cooking.
  • Cook until the chicken reaches 74°C (165°F) internally.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Alfredo Sauce

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Combine

  1. Add cooked linguine to the Alfredo sauce.
  2. Toss until fully coated.
  3. Add the air-fried garlic butter chicken.
  4. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.

Step 5: Optional Air Fry Finish

For a cheesy baked-style finish:

  1. Transfer the pasta to an air fryer-safe dish.
  2. Sprinkle extra Parmesan or mozzarella on top.

Air Fry:

  • 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes until golden and bubbly.
