Shrimp with garlic butter in an air fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp
    • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter
    • In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  3. Coat the Shrimp
    • Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
    • Let marinate for 10–15 minutes for extra flavor (optional).
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer
    • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Air Fry
    • Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5–7 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the shrimp halfway through, until they are pink, opaque, and cooked through.
  6. Finish & Serve
    • Transfer the shrimp to a serving dish.
    • Drizzle with any remaining garlic butter, then garnish with chopped parsley.
    • Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
