Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the coating
    • In a shallow bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • In a second bowl, whisk together the egg and water.

    • Dip each piece into the egg mixture, then press into the Parmesan mixture until fully coated.
  4. Air fry
    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket.
    • Arrange chicken in a single layer, leaving space between pieces.
    • Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Cook
    • Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
    • Chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Serve
    • Let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
    • Great with roasted vegetables, salad, pasta, or marinara sauce.

Extra-Crispy Tip

For an even crispier crust, use panko breadcrumbs and add 1–2 tablespoons of melted butter to the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture before coating the chicken.
