Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6–8 oz / 170–225 g each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional: ½ tsp Italian seasoning or smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken dry and lightly pound the thick end if needed so the breasts are an even thickness.
- Rub with olive oil, then coat evenly with the seasonings.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook:
- 7–9 oz breasts: 10–12 minutes
- 9–12 oz breasts: 12–16 minutes
Flip halfway through cooking.
- Check the thickest part with a meat thermometer. The chicken is done when it reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing to keep the juices inside.
Tips for juicy chicken
- Don’t overcook—use an instant-read thermometer if possible.
- Even thickness helps the chicken cook uniformly.
- Resting after cooking is just as important as the cooking itself.
