Fresh Mint & Lemon Tea

Fresh Mint & Lemon Tea

Prep time: 3 mins | Steep time: 5 mins | Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 8–10 fresh mint leaves (spearmint or peppermint)
  • 1 cup (240ml) boiling water
  • 1–2 tsp fresh lemon juice (or 1 lemon wedge)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Mint: Wash the fresh mint leaves thoroughly. Gently slap them between your palms once or twice—this bruises the leaves slightly and releases their natural aromatic oils.
  2. Steep: Place the mint leaves in a mug and pour the boiling water directly over them. Cover the mug with a small saucer and let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add Flavor: Remove or strain out the leaves if you like (or leave them in). Stir in fresh lemon juice and a touch of honey if you prefer it sweet.
  4. Enjoy: Sip warm as a cozy, digestive-friendly drink!
