🎃 Pumpkin Muffins with Cream Cheese Frosting

- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp finely chopped walnuts or pecans

- Preheat: Heat oven to 175°C / 350°F and line a 12-cup muffin pan with liners.
- Mix the dry ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, oil, pumpkin purée, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix just until combined—don’t overmix.
- Fill: Divide the batter among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
- Optional crumb topping: Mix flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and nuts. Sprinkle a little over each muffin.
- Bake: Bake for 20–24 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
