🦞 Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops
Ingredients
Seafood
- 2 lobster tails, shells removed and meat cut into large pieces
- 1 lb (450 g) large sea scallops
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5–6 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the seafood:
Pat the lobster and scallops very dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika. - Sear the scallops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place scallops in a single layer and cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside. - Cook the lobster:
In the same skillet, add half of the butter. Add the lobster pieces and cook for approximately 2–3 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the meat is opaque and reaches a safe internal temperature. - Make the garlic butter:
Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook for 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant—don’t let the garlic burn. - Combine:
Add lemon juice, parsley, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Return the scallops to the skillet and gently toss the seafood in the garlic butter sauce for about 1 minute. - Serve:
Transfer to a serving plate, spoon the garlic butter over the lobster and scallops, and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
🍋 Serving Suggestion
Serve with crusty bread, roasted vegetables, rice, or pasta so you can enjoy the extra garlic-butter sauce.
