Hold onto your Hidden Blades, folks! A French retailer has just leaked a listing for ‘Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’ on the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s still live! Spotted by VGC, the game is up for grabs at French outlet Auchan, but don’t get too excited just yet – there’s no price tag or release date attached.
The listing describes the game as “Experience Assassin’s Creed: Shadows like never before on Nintendo Switch 2!” We’re not sure if that means it’ll utilize Switch 2’s unique features like gyro aiming or mouse controls, but we’re hoping for some next-gen assassin action!
Now, here’s where things get a bit controversial. The box art suggests it’ll be a Game-Key Card release, which means it won’t be pre-installed on the cartridge. It’ll act more like a key to download the game once inserted into your Switch 2. We’ve seen this before with the Switch 2 port of ‘Star Wars: Outlaws’.
Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed this yet, but they do seem to be favoring Game-Key Cards for their Switch 2 ports. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that ‘Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’ runs as smoothly as ‘Star Wars: Outlaws’ did, despite any hardware limitations.
