“DC Universe’s ‘Peacemaker’: Season 3 Prospects and Current Knowledge”

**Peacemaker’s Future Uncertain: What We Know About Season 3 and the Potential Checkmate Spin-off**

The fate of “Peacemaker” season 3 hangs in the balance, leaving fans eager for any morsel of information. Here’s a comprehensive roundup of what we know so far about the show’s future, including its possible spin-off series, “Checkmate”.

**Peacemaker Season 3: Greenlit or Not?**

As of now, “Peacemaker” season 3 hasn’t been officially greenlit by DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran. Consequently, there’s no release date to look forward to, and its development seems increasingly unlikely. Gunn himself admitted in late September that a direct sequel to season 2 wasn’t in the cards, but he did hint at the return of characters in a different form.

In the season 2 finale podcast, Gunn teased, “Peacemaker will be back, but as this TV show? We’ll see exactly what form that takes. We have plans.” He also confirmed that the characters are part of “the future of the DCU” and their return is imminent.

**From Peacemaker to Checkmate: A Possible Spin-off**

The final episode of “Peacemaker” season 2 seems to have set the stage for a different series – “Checkmate”. This spy agency, co-founded by Peacemaker and his 11th Street Kids allies, could be the focus of a spin-off show. Gunn has yet to confirm this, but fans are hopeful that he will do so soon.

**No Peacemaker Season 3 Trailer Yet**

There’s no trailer for “Peacemaker” season 3, and with Gunn suggesting the show might not return in its current form, it’s unlikely one will be released. However, if a “Checkmate” TV show is indeed in development, a trailer for that could surface eventually.

**Potential Cast for Peacemaker Season 3 or Checkmate**

The cast of “Peacemaker” season 3, or any potential spin-off, remains unannounced. However, based on the show’s finale and Gunn’s teases, here are some actors we might see reprising their roles:

– Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt
– Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo
– Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase / Vigilante
– Steve Agee as John Economos
– Sol Rodriguez as Sasha Bordeaux
– Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury
– Nhut Lee as Rip Jagger/Judomaster
– Dee Bradley Baker as Eagly (voice-only)

John Cena’s Chris Smith (Peacemaker) might not be part of the spin-off, as he’s stranded on an alien world. Other DC comic book characters could join the cast, but no specifics have been revealed yet.

**Story Speculation for Peacemaker Season 3 or Checkmate**

Without an official synopsis, we can only speculate about the story of “Peacemaker” season 3 or its potential spin-off. The 11th Street Kids’ search for their missing leader, Chris Smith, could be a central plot point. Additionally, the new spy agency, Checkmate, might take on various cases to make the world a better place, similar to shows like “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” or “The X-Files”.

Unresolved plot threads from season 2, such as Earth-2’s Keith Smith’s survival and desire for revenge, could also be revisited or wrapped up in future installments.

**More Seasons of Peacemaker: A Slim Possibility**

Gunn hasn’t ruled out the possibility of more “Peacemaker” seasons, but with his focus on the upcoming “Superman” film, “Man of Tomorrow”, it seems unlikely. Developing a “Checkmate” spin-off while also making an actual third season of “Peacemaker” could create confusion and timeline issues within the DC Universe.

**Tying In with Other DCU Projects**

How “Peacemaker” season 3 or “Checkmate” could tie into other DCU projects remains uncertain. If Gunn’s “Man of Tomorrow” film involves the planet Salvation, where Chris Smith is trapped, the narratives could run parallel. However, with principal photography for “Man of Tomorrow” set to begin early next year, we’ll have to wait for more information.

Gunn has only hinted that the decisions made in the “Peacemaker” season 2 finale will impact the future of the DCU, including “Man of Tomorrow” and beyond. Fans eagerly await more concrete details about the show’s future and its place in the wider DC Universe.

“Catch the 2025 Super League Grand Final Live: Wigan vs Hull KR Rugby Stream”

**Super League Grand Final 2025: Wigan vs Hull KR – How to Watch and What to Expect**

The stage is set for another thrilling Super League Grand Final, with Wigan and Hull Kingston Rovers (Hull KR) set to face off at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 11. This will be the second consecutive year these two teams meet in the grand final, and both are eager to secure a historic treble.

Wigan, the defending champions, are aiming to become the fourth team in Super League history to win three consecutive titles. They are led by coach Matt Peet, who has transformed the team into a dominant force, reminiscent of the all-conquering Wigan side of the 80s and 90s that won seven consecutive league titles, eight consecutive Challenge Cups, and three World Club Challenges.

Meanwhile, Hull KR, under the guidance of coach Willie Peters, have enjoyed a remarkable turnaround. After going 40 years without winning a major trophy, they have now claimed the Challenge Cup and the League Leaders’ Shield in quick succession. A victory at Old Trafford would cement their status as one of the all-time great Super League dynasties.

Last year’s final was a tense and closely fought affair, with Wigan emerging victorious 9-2. Bevan French scored the only try of the game, securing an unprecedented quadruple for the Warriors. Hull KR, in their first major final since 1985, struggled to overcome their nerves, with Mikey Lewis’ routine penalty kick off the post being their only points.

“After rigorous testing, I’ve found my perfect filter system: Freewell’s Real Locking kit for both photography and videography.”

**Freewell Real Locking VND/CPL Mega Kit: In-Depth Review**

Filters are indispensable tools in photography and videography, enabling control over exposure and allowing for creative manipulation of shutter speed and aperture. The Freewell Real Locking VND/CPL Mega Kit is a versatile filter system centered around a variable ND/polarizer and an ND32 filter, accompanied by video haze filters. What sets this kit apart is its clip-based attachment system, which Freewell argues is more secure than magnetic alternatives, though it may lack some convenience.

**Kit Overview and Contents**

The Mega Kit, one of two available Real Locking VND/CPL kits (the other being the All Day kit), includes a base ring (available from 49mm to 82mm), an 82mm lens cap, a variable ND/polarizer filter, an ND32 filter, and two video haze filters (Glow Mist 1/4 and Snow Mist 1/4). The kit is stackable, allowing for the combination of multiple filters as needed.

**Filter Performance**

*Variable ND/Polarizer Filter*

The variable ND filter ranges from three to seven stops, providing ample control over exposure. When paired with the polarizing filter, it effectively reduces reflections and enhances color saturation. Adjusting the polarizing effect requires rotating the entire filter, while the variable ND strength is adjusted by moving a marker. Using both filters together offers up to seven stops of light reduction without introducing a color cast, making it an excellent choice for both photo and video applications.

*ND32 Filter*

The ND32 filter provides a five-stop light-reducing density, which can be combined with the variable ND for up to 12 stops of light blocking – equivalent to a Big Stopper but with better color rendition. When used alone, the ND32 filter may introduce a slight red color cast, but this is minimal and easily removable in post-processing.

*Video Haze Filters*

The Glow Mist 1/4 and Snow Mist 1/4 filters add cinematic haze effects to your images and videos. The Glow Mist filter blooms highlights slightly and spreads haze into midtones, while the Snow Mist filter blooms highlights more and has less spread into midtones. Both filters can be used for various photographic and video applications.

**Image Quality and Build**

The filters in the Mega Kit are coated and deliver excellent image quality with accurate color rendition. The clip-based attachment system is secure, but users should ensure filters are properly attached to prevent accidental adjustment of the variable ND. The kit comes with a well-made, leatherette filters case with a magnetic clasp, though removing the middle and rear filters can be a tight fit when all filters are inserted.

**Pricing and Availability**

The Freewell Real Locking VND/CPL Mega Kit is available now at Amazon and the Freewell website. The All Day kit, which includes the VND3-7/CPL Base, an ND32, an 82mm Base Ring, an NFC Front Lens Cap, a White Balance Back Cap, a Filters Case, and a Cleaning Cloth, is priced at $250 in the US and £227.43 in the UK. The Mega Kit, which adds the Snow Mist 1/4 and Glow Mist 1/4 filters, is priced at $350. Pricing for both kits is in USD on the Freewell website, so international customers should check the exact cost in their own currency at the time of purchase.

**Should You Buy the Freewell Real Locking VND/CPL Mega Kit?**

The Freewell Real Locking VND/CPL Mega Kit is an excellent choice for photographers and videographers seeking a comprehensive, stackable filter solution that can be used with a wide range of lenses. Its clip-based attachment system offers improved security over magnetic alternatives, and the kit’s portability makes it an ideal choice for both photography and video capture. However, if you only need a variable ND filter or require ND graduated filters to control sky exposure, you may want to consider alternative options. Additionally, users should be aware that the kit’s price point may be a barrier for some, as it is similarly priced to magnetic filter kits.

In conclusion, the Freewell Real Locking VND/CPL Mega Kit offers a robust and versatile filter solution for photographers and videographers looking to control exposure and enhance their creative potential. Its secure clip-based attachment system, excellent image quality, and comprehensive range of filters make it a strong contender in the filter market.

**Revisiting the Past: A New Point-and-Shoot Film Compact with Autofocus Resurrects Memories of My Classic Olympus Mju, Making Pre-orders a No-Brainer**

**Introducing the Analogue aF-1: A Fresh Take on 35mm Film Point-and-Shoot Cameras**

In the resurgent world of film photography, a new contender has emerged, capturing the hearts of enthusiasts with its blend of classic aesthetics and modern functionality. Meet the Analogue aF-1, an all-new 35mm film camera meticulously crafted by photographers and creatives at Analogue, a renowned camera shop and film photography hub in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

At first glance, the aF-1’s sliding lens cover evokes a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of the beloved Olympus Mju from decades past. But this camera is more than just a pretty face; it’s a powerhouse of smart features designed to appeal to film photography aficionados.

The aF-1 boasts a 35mm f/2.8 lens, which promises sharp results, especially for close-up portraits. This lens, comprising six elements, is nothing new, but it’s a tried-and-true design that delivers impressive detail. Paired with LiDAR autofocus, offering a range of 0.5m to infinity, the aF-1 should handle low-light situations with ease.

One standout feature is the built-in flash, rated at GN8 with a swift 0.5-second recycle time. This, coupled with a versatile shutter speed range of 4 seconds to 1/1000th of a second, makes the aF-1 more than capable of handling a wide array of lighting conditions, outshining many of its 35mm film compact camera counterparts.

Composing shots is a breeze with the simple reverse Galilean viewfinder, while auto film loading and rewind, and auto exposure ensure a user-friendly experience. The aF-1’s makers have clearly aimed to create a sophisticated camera that’s accessible to both seasoned film photographers and newcomers alike.

The Analogue aF-1 was first teased some time ago, but it’s only recently that the prototype has been unveiled on the company’s social media platforms. Pre-orders are now live, with the camera priced at €449 / £399 (approximately $550 / AU$800). While the price point is higher than some budget options like the Kodak Ektar H35, it undercuts more premium offerings such as the Rollei 35 AF, suggesting that the aF-1 offers excellent value for money.

For those who appreciate a blend of classic design and modern functionality, the Analogue aF-1 seems to tick all the right boxes. Its sliding lens cover is a charming nod to the past, while its smart features ensure that it’s ready to take on the challenges of today’s photography landscape.

I, for one, am eager to get my hands on the aF-1 for a thorough review. With deliveries projected for the first quarter of 2026, the wait is on, but it’s one that film photography enthusiasts are likely to find well worth it.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to explore the world of film photography, you might want to check out our roundup of the best film cameras of 2025. And if you’re new to the format, our guide on film types and sizes could prove invaluable.

“Visiting a Real Castle with the Game of Thrones Phone: Can It Pull Off a Royal Landing?”

**In the Realm of Thrones: A Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition Review**

In the ever-evolving landscape of pop culture, we’ve seen our fair share of themed smartphones, from Batman to Iron Man. However, when a package arrived at my doorstep in 2025, I was taken aback by the unexpected: a Game of Thrones-themed smartphone, the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition. Despite the divisive final season of the show, its enduring popularity is evident in the upcoming spin-offs, House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, slated for 2026.

This special edition Realme 15 Pro maintains the core specifications of its July 2025 counterpart, with a few hardware and software tweaks that set it apart. Unfortunately, as with previous Realme releases, it’s unlikely that this model will be available in the US or UK. I received the device on the eve of a trip to medieval towns in Austria and Germany, providing the perfect opportunity to test its new features against the backdrop of European history.

**A Closer Look at the Hardware**

Under the hood, the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Edition mirrors its base model, boasting a 6.8-inch, 1280 x 2800, 144Hz display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging, and two rear 50MP cameras (one wide-angle, the other ultra-wide). The third ‘camera’ appears to be a light sensor or similar. Before delving into the Game of Thrones elements, I want to highlight two features that truly stood out.

Firstly, the circular LED indicator around the ultra-wide camera lens serves as a non-intrusive notification system, lighting up for calls, messages, or music playback. Secondly, the dual-tone flashlight – a cool white and a warmer red – adds a creative touch to portrait photography and low-light exploration.

**Unboxing the Realm**

The phone arrives in an ornate box filled with Game of Thrones-inspired goodies, such as character postcards, a pop-up phone holder, and a beautifully designed SIM card removal tool. The device itself sports a Targaryen dragon on the back, along with the show’s logo and dragon claw motifs on the raised camera section. Intricate House banners and iconic phrases like “Winter is Coming” adorn the camera mounts.

Realme claims that the phone’s black leather back changes color to red when exposed to warm water. While I was tempted to test this, the IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H ratings didn’t quite justify a dunk in my mug. Perhaps after this article goes live…

**Software Tweaks and Themed Experiences**

Software-wise, the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Edition comes with themed animations, backgrounds, and interface logos for pre-installed apps. Some downloaded apps also adopt the Game of Thrones aesthetic. Additionally, Realme has added location-inspired camera filters, such as Northland (cold and blue, reminiscent of Winterfell and the North) and Kingdom (warm and inviting, evoking King’s Landing).

**Testing the Filters in the Field**

With these filters in mind, I decided to take the phone with me on my trip. I visited Salzburg, Austria, and Munich, Germany, capturing images of medieval towns, castles, and mountains. While camera filters might not seem groundbreaking, the ones on this Realme model offered a more dramatic effect than usual.

I tested the filters on various subjects, using the main camera and experimenting with tilt shift and night mode. I also cropped some images to match the 16:9 aspect ratio of the show. Here, I’ll share five test photos, each taken in standard mode, with the Kingdom filter, and with the Northland filter.

**Test Photo 1: Sunset Vista**

My favorite photo from the trip captures a vast landscape with trees, the Fortress Hohensalzburg, and the peak of Untersberg in the distance. Taken at sunset, the standard image boasts a warm color profile, with golden streaks on the tree branches and the citadel. The Kingdom filter adds a nostalgic hue, reflecting the haze of time and memory – though it’s not quite as bleak as Game of Thrones. The Northland filter, however, saps out the warmth, creating a stark and imposing image that clashes with the subject’s actual beauty.

**Test Photo 2: Fortress Hohensalzburg**

In this close-up of the fortress, the Northland filter’s stark contrast and cold coloration create an imposing image that feels more in line with the show. However, the gray castle and sky blend too much, losing some nuance. The standard and Kingdom images, while similar, show more distinction between the castle and sky.

**Test Photo 3: Dark Gate**

This night mode image showcases the Kingdom filter’s ability to add warmth and vibrancy to a yellowy picture. The Northland filter, however, crushes the dynamic range, making the image look almost monochromatic.

**Test Photo 4: Tilt-Shift Cityscape**

In this tilt-shift image of a row of buildings, the Northland filter desaturates the buildings, making them appear white or gray – a stark contrast to the original picture’s pastel colors. The Kingdom filter retains the colors but adds vibrancy and warmth to the blurred areas, creating an inviting image that feels more like King’s Landing than the show’s actual capital.

**Test Photo 5: Mountain Vista**

In this final image, the Northland filter creates a sense of imposing allure, with the misty mountains looming in the distance. The standard and Kingdom images, however, feel more natural and calm, with the foreground elements looking too blue in the Northland filter.

**Final Thoughts**

The Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition is a unique blend of high-end smartphone specs and themed experiences that will appeal to fans of the franchise. While the camera filters didn’t always enhance the images, they offered a more dramatic effect than typical smartphone filters and allowed for creative experimentation. The themed software elements and hardware design touches also contribute to an immersive Game of Thrones experience.

In conclusion, the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition is more than just a gimmick; it’s a well-rounded smartphone with a unique twist that will captivate fans of the iconic series.

This game played a trick on me, ironically, given the spangram. I initially thought “follow suit” referred to card suits, and after finding SPADES and HEARTS, I searched for diamonds, clubs, and a joker. After striking out, I took a hint from non-game words, leading me to WHIST. The spangram and BRIDGE were easy to spot, but PINOCHLE and EUCHRE stumped me, requiring another hint.

The words for today’s puzzle are:
“`
BEGINS
SWIFT

ROBIN
TRAILS
SWALLOW
PIONEERS
PERMANENT
INSTITUTES
EVERLASTING
KITE

ETERNAL
“`

**Hint #1 – Group Clues:**

Here are some clues for today’s NYT Connections groups:
– Yellow: Won’t fade away
– Green: At the start
– Blue: Feathered friends
– Purple: Start with the opposite of “sad”

**Hint #2 – Group Answers:**

The answers for today’s NYT Connections groups are:
– Yellow: FOR ALL TIME (ETERNAL, EVERLASTING, FOREVER, PERMANENT)
– Green: ESTABLISHES (BEGINS, INSTITUTES, LAUNCHES, PIONEERS)
– Blue: BIRDS (KITE, ROBIN, SWALLOW, SWIFT)
– Purple: HAPPY ____ (DAYS, ENDING, RETURNS, TRAILS)

**Today’s Connections Answers:**

The answers to today’s Connections, game #854, are:
– Yellow: FOR ALL TIME (ETERNAL, EVERLASTING, FOREVER, PERMANENT)
– Green: ESTABLISHES (BEGINS, INSTITUTES, LAUNCHES, PIONEERS)
– Blue: BIRDS (KITE, ROBIN, SWALLOW, SWIFT)
– Purple: HAPPY ____ (DAYS, ENDING, RETURNS, TRAILS)

**Personal Experience:**

I found today’s game relatively easy, with even the purple group being quite straightforward. However, I initially made the mistake of grouping FOREVER, BEGINS, RETURNS, and ETERNAL together, thinking the connection was Batman. Alas, that wasn’t the case, but the error pushed me to rethink more clearly.

SWIFT has appeared in bird groups before, and I’m always tempted to make a lame joke about being a Swifty, as these remarkable creatures never stop moving, spending their entire lives on the wing, eating, sleeping, and mating while in flight.

**Yesterday’s NYT Connections Answers (Saturday, October 11, game #853):**

– Yellow: EQUIPMENT (GEAR, KIT, STUFF, TACKLE)
– Green: DRESS IN (DON, PUT ON, SPORT, WEAR)
– Blue: STREET SUFFIXES (ALLEY, COURT, LANE, WAY)
– Purple: NICKNAMES THAT HAVE OTHER MEANINGS (BILL, BOB, PAT, TOM)

**What is NYT Connections?**

NYT Connections is one of several popular word games created by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four items that share a common trait, with each group having a different difficulty level: green (easy), yellow (moderate), blue (difficult), and purple (very difficult).

On the bright side, you don’t necessarily need to solve the final group, as you can eliminate it through process of elimination. Additionally, you have room for up to four mistakes, providing some wiggle room.

While it’s more involved than games like Wordle, there are plenty of opportunities for the game to trip you up with tricks, such as homophones and other word games that could disguise the answers.

You can play NYT Connections for free via the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile. Happy puzzling!

“Unstoppable Season 4: First Look Teaser Unveils 2026 Release, Thragg’s Voice Actor Confirmed for Upcoming Amazon Prime Series Installment”

**Invincible Season 4: Mark Your Calendars for March 2026**

Mark your calendars, Invincible fans! The highly anticipated fourth season of the adult animated series is set to premiere on Prime Video in March 2026. The official launch window was confirmed during the show’s New York Comic-Con (NYCC) 2025 panel, much to the delight of eager viewers.

While we’re still awaiting an exact release date, the news that Invincible will be back on our screens in around five months is certainly something to celebrate. The Amazon TV Original has been a critical darling, and its return is highly anticipated.

As has become tradition with Invincible’s season launches, the reveal of the fourth season’s release window was accompanied by a first teaser. This time around, the action takes place in the familiar setting of Burger Mart, where Mark Grayson, now sporting metal casts due to his severe injuries from the season 3 finale, visits with girlfriend Samantha Eve ‘Atom Eve’ Wilkins. The teaser is filled with humorous moments, including a discussion about Mark’s less-than-stellar fighting record and Eve taking over the Chibi-inspired production duties that Mark had handled in previous seasons.

But the NYCC 2025 panel wasn’t all fun and games. The event also brought some serious news: the voice actor for Invincible’s main villain, Grand Regent Thragg, has been announced. Lee Pace, known for his roles in “Foundation” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1,” will be bringing the formidable Viltrum Empire leader to life. Thragg, the strongest warrior of his people, will certainly pose a significant challenge for Mark, who barely survived his encounter with Conquest in the previous season’s final chapter.

In other news from the Prime Video universe, “Gen V” season 2 episode 6 has revealed some intriguing new details about The Odessa Project and its connections to Homelander. Meanwhile, the “Peacemaker” season 2 finale has left fans wondering about potential cameos and the possibility of a third season. And for those interested in the world of “Foundation,” we’ve got the latest information on the show’s fourth season.

So, mark your calendars, set your reminders, and get ready for an action-packed, humor-filled return to the world of Invincible in March 2026. Until then, keep your eyes peeled for more news and updates on your favorite Prime Video shows.
