Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- ¾ cup cold milk (add a little more if needed)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Biscuit Dough
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add the cold butter cubes and cut them into the flour using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the cold milk and gently mix until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
2. Shape the Biscuits
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface.
- Gently press the dough to about ¾-inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits using a round cutter or glass.
- Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket with a little space between each one.
3. Air Fry the Biscuits
- Brush the tops with melted butter.
- Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 8–10 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown and fluffy.
- Brush with additional melted butter immediately after cooking for a soft, buttery finish.
4. Serve
Serve warm with:
- Butter and honey
- Jam or fruit preserves
- Gravy
- Cheese spread
