Air Fryer Potato Slices

Air Fryer Potato Slices

Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 3 medium potatoes, washed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Potatoes

  1. Slice the potatoes into ¼-inch (6 mm) thick rounds.
  2. Soak the slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and pat them completely dry with paper towels.

2. Season

  1. In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with:
    • Olive oil
    • Garlic powder
    • Paprika
    • Onion powder
    • Oregano
    • Black pepper
    • Salt

3. Air Fry

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
  3. Air fry for 15–18 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through.
  4. For extra crispy potatoes, cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.

4. Finish

  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan (if using) while the potatoes are still hot.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Serving Suggestions

  • Garlic aioli
  • Ranch dressing
  • Sour cream
  • Ketchup
  • Spicy mayo
  • Cheese sauce

Tips

  • Dry the potato slices thoroughly before seasoning for the crispiest results.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket, or the potatoes will steam instead of crisp.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili flakes or Cajun seasoning.
  • Russet potatoes produce the crispiest slices, while Yukon Gold potatoes have a creamier texture.
