Ingredients

  • 4 Italian sausages (mild or spicy)
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Β½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Β½ teaspoon salt
  • ΒΌ teaspoon black pepper
  • ΒΌ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced peppers and onions with the olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Place the sausages in the air fryer basket. Arrange the seasoned peppers and onions around them in a single layer.
  4. Air fry for 8 minutes.
  5. Turn the sausages and stir the vegetables.
  6. Continue cooking for 8–10 minutes, or until the sausages reach an internal temperature of 160Β°F (71Β°C) and the peppers and onions are tender with lightly browned edges.
  7. Let the sausages rest for 5 minutes before serving.
