Cinnamon rolls quartered

Cinnamon rolls quartered

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing reserved)
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Spray a 7- or 8-inch round cake pan (or another air fryer-safe baking dish) with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters.
  4. In a large bowl, gently combine:
    • Quartered cinnamon rolls
    • Apple pie filling
    • Chopped walnuts or pecans
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread it into an even layer.
  6. Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 20–25 minutes, checking after 15 minutes. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
  7. The bake is done when the cinnamon roll pieces are puffed and cooked through in the center.
  8. Let cool for 5–10 minutes.
  9. Warm the reserved icing packets for 10–15 seconds in the microwave or place them in warm water, then drizzle over the warm bake before serving.

Tips

  • If your air fryer is large enough to hold a 9×13-inch pan, follow the original recipe and cook at 320°F for 25–30 minutes.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon over the mixture before cooking.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an easy dessert or brunch treat.
