Garlic Parmesan Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Garlic Parmesan Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
    • Trim the ends and remove any damaged outer leaves.
    • Cut the Brussels sprouts in half.
  2. Season
    • In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer
    • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Air Fry
    • Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the sprouts are crispy on the outside and tender inside.
  5. Add the Parmesan
    • Transfer the cooked Brussels sprouts to a bowl.
    • Toss immediately with the grated Parmesan so it melts slightly and coats the sprouts.
  6. Serve
    • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.

Tips

  • Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the basket.
  • For extra crispy edges, add 2–3 more minutes of cooking time.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts and coats the sprouts better than pre-shredded cheese.
