Ingredients (4 burgers):
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 or 85/15)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 4 burger buns
- Cheese slices (optional)
- Toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Gently mix the beef with the seasonings. Divide into 4 equal patties, about ½-inch thick. Press a small dimple in the center of each patty to help prevent puffing.
- Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 9–11 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- If using cheese, add it during the last 1 minute of cooking.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches:
- 160°F (71°C) for ground beef (recommended for food safety).
- Let the burgers rest for 2–3 minutes, then serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
Tips:
- Avoid overcrowding the basket—cook in batches if needed.
- Use a meat thermometer for the best results.
- For frozen patties, add about 5–7 extra minutes, flipping halfway through.
