Ingredients
- 1 large russet potato
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- Optional: black pepper, garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Scrub and dry the potato well.
- Pierce it 5–6 times with a fork.
- Rub with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with salt.
- Air fry:
- Medium potato (8–10 oz): 35–40 minutes
- Large potato (10–12 oz): 45–55 minutes
- Turn the potato halfway through cooking.
- It’s done when a fork slides in easily or the center reaches about 205–210°F (96–99°C).
- Let rest for 2–3 minutes, then cut open, fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.
Topping ideas
- Butter, sour cream, chives
- Cheddar cheese and bacon bits
- Greek yogurt and green onions
- Chili and shredded cheese
- Broccoli and cheese
Tip: For an extra-crispy skin, leave the potato in the air fryer for an additional 3–5 minutes after it’s fully cooked.
