Air Fryer Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter

Prep Time

  • Prep: 10 minutes
  • Cook: 8–10 minutes
  • Total: 18–20 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (5–8 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Lobster

  • Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of each lobster shell lengthwise.
  • Gently pull the meat upward so it rests on top of the shell, keeping the end attached.

2. Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine:

  • Melted butter
  • Garlic
  • Lemon juice
  • Parsley
  • Paprika
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Brush half of the garlic butter over the lobster meat.

3. Air Fry

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Place the lobster tails in the basket, meat side up.
  • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, depending on size, until the meat is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140–145°F (60–63°C).

4. Finish

  • Brush the remaining garlic butter over the hot lobster tails.
  • Garnish with extra parsley and serve with fresh lemon wedges.

Tips

  • Avoid overcooking, as lobster can become tough.
  • Larger lobster tails (9–12 oz) may need 10–12 minutes.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Pair with roasted asparagus, mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad.
