Ingredients
Vanilla Cream Layer
2 cups milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Topping
1 cup milk
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp sugar
Instructions
Make the Vanilla Layer
In a saucepan, whisk together milk, condensed milk, cornstarch, and egg yolks.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and creamy.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour into a glass serving dish and smooth the top.
Refrigerate while preparing the chocolate layer.
Make the Chocolate Topping
In another saucepan, whisk together milk, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and sugar.
Heat over medium heat until slightly thickened.
Add chocolate chips and stir until smooth and glossy.
Let cool for 3–5 minutes.
Assemble
Pour the chocolate mixture gently over the chilled vanilla layer.
Smooth evenly with a spatula.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
Serving Tips
Serve chilled for the best texture.
Top with chocolate shavings or fresh berries if desired.
For extra richness, use dark chocolate.
