Ingredients
Shrimp
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp oil (or cooking spray)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Bang Bang Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- 1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to your preferred spice level)
- 1 tsp honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry and season with the salt and black pepper.
- Coat each shrimp in cornstarch, dip into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the panko breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray or drizzle the breaded shrimp with oil.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the coating is golden and the shrimp are cooked through.
- While the shrimp cook, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth.
- Toss the hot shrimp with the sauce just before serving, or serve the sauce on the side if you want to keep the coating extra crispy.
