Honey Garlic Dijon Glazed Salmon

Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 12–15 minutes | Servings: 4

Ingredients

Glaze & Sauce

  • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard (or coarse grain mustard)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salmon & Garnish

  • 4 center-cut salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp green onions (scallions), thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil lightly coated with cooking spray.
  2. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, melted butter, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes until smooth. Reserve 2–3 tablespoons of this sauce for drizzling after baking.
  3. Season the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Rub each fillet with olive oil and season both sides lightly with salt and black pepper. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet skin-side down.
  4. Glaze: Spoon a generous amount of the mustard mixture over the top of each salmon fillet, spreading it evenly to cover the top.
  5. Bake: Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). (Optional: Switch the oven to broil for the final 1–2 minutes to create a rich, caramelized, browned top).
  6. Serve: Spoon the reserved warm Dijon glaze over the tops of the cooked fillets. Garnish generously with sliced green onions and fresh chopped parsley before serving.
