Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles

Ingredients

For the Ground Beef:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Noodles:

  • 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti, ramen noodles, or lo mein noodles
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions until tender.
  • Drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Mongolian Beef Sauce

  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

3. Air Fry the Beef

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • Place ground beef in an air fryer-safe baking dish or foil tray.
  • Cook for 8–10 minutes, breaking it apart halfway through.
  • Drain excess grease if needed.

4. Add Flavor & Vegetables

  • Mix garlic and ginger into the cooked beef.
  • Add the sauce mixture and stir well.
  • Add sliced peppers and carrots.
  • Air fry again at 380°F (193°C) for 5–7 minutes until vegetables are tender.

5. Combine with Noodles

  • Toss the cooked noodles with the Mongolian beef mixture until evenly coated.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

6. Serve

  • Serve hot with extra green onions, chili flakes, or a drizzle of sesame oil.

Optional: Add broccoli, snap peas, or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
