Ingredients
For the Ground Beef:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Noodles:
- 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti, ramen noodles, or lo mein noodles
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- ½ cup sliced green onions
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook the Noodles
- Cook noodles according to package instructions until tender.
- Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Mongolian Beef Sauce
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
3. Air Fry the Beef
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Place ground beef in an air fryer-safe baking dish or foil tray.
- Cook for 8–10 minutes, breaking it apart halfway through.
- Drain excess grease if needed.
4. Add Flavor & Vegetables
- Mix garlic and ginger into the cooked beef.
- Add the sauce mixture and stir well.
- Add sliced peppers and carrots.
- Air fry again at 380°F (193°C) for 5–7 minutes until vegetables are tender.
5. Combine with Noodles
- Toss the cooked noodles with the Mongolian beef mixture until evenly coated.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
6. Serve
- Serve hot with extra green onions, chili flakes, or a drizzle of sesame oil.
Optional: Add broccoli, snap peas, or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
