Ingredients
- 700 g (1½ lb) pork belly, skin removed if desired, cut into 2.5 cm (1-inch) cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
Optional High-Protein Garlic Yogurt Dip
- ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Oven Method
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Pat the pork belly cubes dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, chili flakes, vinegar, and soy sauce.
- Toss pork belly cubes until evenly coated.
- Arrange on a wire rack over a baking tray, leaving space between pieces.
- Roast for 30–40 minutes, turning once halfway through.
- For extra crispiness, broil/grill for 2–3 minutes at the end.
Air Fryer Method
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
- Place seasoned pork belly cubes in a single layer.
- Cook for 18–22 minutes, shaking the basket every 6–7 minutes.
- Cook until deeply browned and crispy.
Garlic Yogurt Dip
- Mix all dip ingredients together.
- Chill for 15 minutes before serving.
