Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5–6 oz each) salmon, drained and bones/skin removed if desired
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended for extra crispiness)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Cooking spray or 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Salmon Mixture

  1. In a large bowl, flake the salmon with a fork.
  2. Add egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, onion, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Let the mixture rest for 5–10 minutes to help it hold together.

2. Shape the Patties

  1. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions.
  2. Shape each portion into a firm patty about ½-inch thick.
  3. Lightly spray both sides with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.

3. Air Fry the Salmon Patties

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Place the salmon patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Cook until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

4. Serve

Serve warm with:

  • Lemon wedges
  • Tartar sauce
  • Garlic yogurt sauce
  • Fresh salad
  • Air-fried vegetables
