Ingredients
- 2 cans (5–6 oz each) salmon, drained and bones/skin removed if desired
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended for extra crispiness)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Cooking spray or 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Salmon Mixture
- In a large bowl, flake the salmon with a fork.
- Add egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, onion, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Mix until well combined.
- Let the mixture rest for 5–10 minutes to help it hold together.
2. Shape the Patties
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a firm patty about ½-inch thick.
- Lightly spray both sides with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
3. Air Fry the Salmon Patties
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Place the salmon patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Cook until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
4. Serve
Serve warm with:
- Lemon wedges
- Tartar sauce
- Garlic yogurt sauce
- Fresh salad
- Air-fried vegetables
