Crispy potatoes stick

Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika for extra flavor)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Potato Sticks

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes if desired.
  2. Cut the potatoes into evenly sized sticks (about ¼–½ inch thick).
  3. Soak the potato sticks in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  4. Drain and pat completely dry with a clean towel.

2. Season the Potatoes

  1. Place the dried potato sticks in a bowl.
  2. Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch.
  3. Toss well until evenly coated.

3. Air Fry the Potato Sticks

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Arrange the potato sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding.
  3. Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5–7 minutes.
  4. Cook until golden brown, crispy, and cooked through.

4. Serve

  1. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
  2. Serve hot with:
    • Ketchup
    • Garlic mayo
    • Cheese sauce
    • Ranch dip
