Airfryer cheesy puff pastry

Ingredients (Makes 6–8 Pastries)

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1½ cups (150 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Sesame seeds or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Filling

  1. In a bowl, combine:
    • Mozzarella
    • Cheddar
    • Cream cheese (if using)
    • Garlic powder
    • Italian seasoning
    • Black pepper

2. Assemble

  1. Roll out the puff pastry slightly if needed.
  2. Cut it into 6–8 equal squares or rectangles.
  3. Place 2–3 tablespoons of the cheese mixture in the center of each piece.
  4. Fold the pastry into a triangle or rectangle.
  5. Press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or sesame seeds if desired.

3. Air Fry

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Place the pastries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each one.
  3. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

4. Serve

Allow the pastries to cool for 2–3 minutes before serving, as the cheese filling will be very hot.
