Here is the recipe for this easy 3-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse:
3-Ingredient Healthy Chocolate Mousse
Prep time: 5 mins | Chill time: 30 mins | Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 1 cup canned full-fat coconut milk (or coconut cream), chilled overnight in the fridge
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (or cacao powder)
- ¼ cup maple syrup, honey, or powdered zero-carb sweetener (like erythritol)
- Optional topping: Mini chocolate chips for sprinkling
Instructions
1. Prep the Coconut Cream
- Make sure your canned coconut milk has been refrigerated for at least 8–12 hours (this separates the thick cream from the liquid).
- Open the can and scoop out only the hardened cream from the top into a mixing bowl (reserve the liquid for smoothies).
2. Whip the Ingredients
- Add the cocoa powder and your sweetener of choice to the bowl with the coconut cream.
- Using a hand mixer or whisk, beat the mixture on medium-high speed for 2 to 3 minutes until thick, smooth, and fluffy.
3. Chill & Serve
- Scoop the mousse into small dessert cups or containers.
- Top with mini chocolate chips if desired.
- Serve immediately, or chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to let it set into an even firmer, richer texture!
