Air Fryer Deli Meat & Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, whole wheat, or ciabatta)
  • 3–4 slices deli turkey, ham, roast beef, or your favorite deli meat
  • 2 slices cheddar, Swiss, provolone, or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise or butter, softened
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Lettuce (add after cooking, optional)
  • Pickle slices, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Assemble the Sandwich
    • Spread mayonnaise or butter on the outside of each bread slice.
    • Spread Dijon mustard on the inside if using.
    • Layer the deli meat and cheese between the bread slices.
    • If using tomato, place it inside the sandwich. Add lettuce after air frying to keep it crisp.
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer
    • Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Air Fry
    • Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
    • Air fry at 370°F (188°C) for 4–5 minutes.
    • Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3–4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.
  4. Serve
    • Let the sandwich rest for 1 minute, then slice in half.
    • Add lettuce if desired and serve with pickle slices, chips, fries, or a side salad.
