Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 oz (340 g) smoked turkey sausage, sliced (higher protein, lower fat option)
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
Honey Garlic Sauce (Low-Sugar Version)
- 2 tbsp sugar-free honey substitute (or regular honey if preferred)
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos or low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook sausage slices for 3–5 minutes until lightly browned.
- Add broccoli and cook for 4–5 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
- Pour in the honey garlic sauce and toss everything together.
- Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the sauce coats the shrimp and sausage.
- Serve hot.
