Ingredients
- 3 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika for extra flavor)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for extra crispiness)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Potato Sticks
- Wash and peel the potatoes if desired.
- Cut the potatoes into evenly sized sticks (about ¼–½ inch thick).
- Soak the potato sticks in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat completely dry with a clean towel.
2. Season the Potatoes
- Place the dried potato sticks in a bowl.
- Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch.
- Toss well until evenly coated.
3. Air Fry the Potato Sticks
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Arrange the potato sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5–7 minutes.
- Cook until golden brown, crispy, and cooked through.
4. Serve
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve hot with:
