Air fryer chicken tenders

Air fryer chicken tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 g) chicken tenders
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
  2. Put the flour in one bowl.
  3. Beat the egg in a second bowl.
  4. In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Dip each chicken tender into the flour, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently so the coating sticks.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  7. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  8. Place the chicken tenders in a single layer. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  9. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  10. Cook until golden and crispy and the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) inside.
  11. Let them rest for 2 minutes and serve with ketchup, ranch, honey mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Tip

Do not overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches if needed so the chicken tenders become extra crispy.
