Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) chicken tenders
- 6–8 slices turkey bacon or regular bacon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Coat the chicken tenders evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of bacon. If the bacon is too long, cut it to fit.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the bacon-wrapped chicken tenders in the basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12–16 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Cook until the bacon is crispy and the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) inside.
- Let the tenders rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
High-Protein Tip
Use turkey bacon for a leaner option, or choose a high-protein chicken-to-bacon ratio by using extra chicken tenders and just enough bacon to wrap them.
Approx. Protein
30–35 g protein per serving, depending on the size of the chicken tenders and type of bacon.
