Protein Mushroom Swiss Burger Bowl

Ingredients

Burger Base

  • 1½ lbs (680 g) lean ground beef (90–95%)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Mushroom Swiss Topping

  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese (or 1 cup shredded Swiss)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Bowl Base

  • 4 cups lettuce or spinach
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • Pickles (optional)

High-Protein Burger Sauce

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 tsp pickle juice
  • Garlic powder and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook beef in a skillet until browned and fully cooked.
  3. In another pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms with garlic until golden.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce and stir.
  5. Place lettuce or spinach into bowls.
  6. Add cooked burger meat, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, avocado, and toppings.
  7. Mix sauce ingredients and drizzle over the bowl.
  8. Serve warm.
